Dart Golf
Description
An experimental new darts game, which is a combination of darts and disc golf.
How to play
This game can be played on any darts scoreboard app which supports the use of custom points in x01 matches.
This party game takes great inspiration from another popular accuracy sport in Estonia - discgolf.
Similarly to discgolf, Dart Golf is played on a course, consisting usually of 9 or 18 holes. Every hole consists of a target score and a par number, which is the expected amount of throws. In Dart Golf, 1 throw = sum of 3 darts. Once the course is prepared, the par scores for each hole are added to a total course par.
When playing a hole, the goal is to reach from target score to exactly zero with the least amount of throws. Similarly to discgolf - if a throw goes over the target score, then the player has to return the distance from zero. (example - if player needs 15 points to reach zero and hits 19 instead, then they need to hit 4 with the next dart). This can be done mid-throw - if the sum of two darts goes over zero and third dart successfully returns the distance, it will count as one throw.
The goal is to complete the course with the least amount of throws. If the players completes the hole with less throws than par, they will receive minus points. If the player completes with more throws, then they will receive plus points. After the course is completed, the player course score will be added to the total course par to get the player total score.
In club events, the game is played on a 9-hole course, which players complete twice. The results of both total scores will be added and winner is determined by lowest total score.
NB! When creating dart golf courses, the difficulties for target scores and pars are best to arrange according to three-dart averages (easy - 30 / medium - 40 / hard - 50)
